A perfect program of study for the "artistically inclined," Commercial Art/Advertising Design prepares students for employment and/or higher education in the graphic design industry (designing and preparing advertising for reproduction). With heavy emphasis on illustration, computer graphics, desktop publishing, page layout, scanning, image editing, and prepress, students have the opportunity to earn up to 15 advanced placement (college) credits toward an associate degree in Visual Communications at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Available as advanced courses are animation, photography, airbrush, and silkscreen. Here is an exaample of a former students work.
